I was briefly drummer in one of the support acts "Tunnelvision" so went to this gig in the nightclub "Romeo and Juliets" the other support band was "Stockholm monsters" (I think!!) although I didnt play at this gig I did record a few New Order tracks on my 4 track which I still have on cassette. They came out OK and though a bit cronky mostly quite listenable. The gig was good, both Barney and Hookey were in good moods in those days the sets were passionate albeit very sombre and introverted. You can hear the passion in the tracks "Dreams never end" and a few improvs here and there. I remember I drove Blackpool-Sheffield with John Robb and Tilly of Blackpool band Membranes with which I also played
on a single. After the gig we headed over to Paul Wiggins place in Thornton to chill out in the morning.
