Note: Recorded at Pennine Sound Studios, Oldham, December 1977. Released as a 7" single (1,000 copies) in a 14"x14" foldout sleeve, on Joy Division's own Enigma label in June 1978 (Enigma PSS139), after they discovered that another label already was called Enigma, they changed it to Anonymous Records, and released "An Ideal For Living" as a 12" single (1,200 copies) in September or October 1978.
Promo copies with 2pg letter from Steve Morris. The fold-out sleeve done by Bernard Sumner.
Any 12" without scaffolds on the cover is a bootleg.
